Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an internationally recognized competition that challenges PhD students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes, in language that anyone can understand. In the 2024 3MT Championship, CMU PhD students representing a variety of research areas take to the stage to discuss their thesis for a chance to win cash prizes. CMU leadership and alumni judge the competition and a People's Choice Award goes to the competitor with the most audience votes. This event is free and open to the public, registration is required.
